He first findeth his own brother
Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias,
which is, being interpreted, the Christ (John 1:41). Andrew and his brother Simon
Peter were both Jews who lived on this earth over two
thousand years ago.
The
woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which
is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all
things (John 4:25).
This
woman was a Samaritan and not a Jew she also lived on
this earth over two thousand years ago. One thing they
had in common was the expectation of the coming of the
Messias, Messiah or Christ to this world sent from God.
The words messias, messiah or christ mean the same thing
their only difference is the language they originate
from. Even today there are millions of people living in
all the nations of this world that are still in
expectation of the coming of the Messias. They have many
different beliefs and religious backgrounds. Their
expectations and beliefs in regards to the purpose of the
Messias however are not the same. There have been and are
many people upon this earth that believe he has already
come and that he has told us "all things".
The idea
or belief of a Messias that would be sent from God did
not originate two thousand years ago. In fact this belief
can be traced as far back in time as man himself, so
where did the belief that God would send a Messias to
earth come from? Did some man or woman thousands of years
ago invent it or did God give mankind a promise? If God
gave this promise to mankind would he not have also made
it possible for mankind to validate his Messias and prove
his message?
The
promise of a Messias to mankind did come from God no man
or woman invented it. There is information available for
proof and validation of his message and appearance on
this earth. His name is Jesus and when he was here upon
this earth he did tell us "all things". The aim
of this site is to provide some of that information to
anyone seeking it.
God who at many times
and in many different ways spoke in time past to the
fathers by the prophets. Has in these last days spoken to
us by his son Jesus, whom he has appointed heir of all
things, by whom also he made the worlds. Who being the
brightness of his glory the express image of his person,
and upholding all things by the word of his power. When
he had by himself made offering for our sins, sat down on
the right hand of the Majesty on high. Being made so much
better than the angels, as he has by inheritance obtained
a more excellent name than they. To which of the angels
did God say at any time as spoken by the prophet, You are
My son I have fathered you today? And again Sit at My
right hand while I make your enemies your footstool? And
again You are a Priest forever a rightful King by My
decree after the order of Melchizedek? Calling us not to
the mount that can be touched and that burned with fire
and the sound of a trumpet and voice of words. But unto
Mount Zion, and the city of the living God, the heavenly
Jerusalem and congregation of His firstborn which are
written in Heaven.
